Half Baked
This is a place where sketches, projects, and ideas that might not otherwise get to see the light of day can hang out and make friends. No polish, no filters, no sorting, just the good and the bad.

Played architect for a few days, designing a dual-income-no-kids 1400 sq. ft. home.
I know very little about the technicals of architecture and construction, so I’m not sure about the feasibility, but it doesn’t seem too out there.
The home consists of a main building with a living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, back porch, and loft study. A two-car port with storage leads into a covered walkway to a separate 300 sq. ft. workshop/guest house.
This was just an exercise in designing and visualizing a simple home layout I’ve been thinking about for a little while.

This project was a roughly a week long in the making. I had an idea for a Halo 5 multiplayer map based around a UNSC shipping center hidden at the mouth of a river that was attacked by the Covenant. This project was a really fun exploration of the map building tools that 343i created. I did a little deep-dive into Halo’s map design, art direction, and basic technicals behind player interaction.

CES 2021 brought with it several company’s showings for the growing freestanding TV category. I felt inspired, and designed/modeled this over a few days worth of Twitch livestreams. This concept has a 55” display with a speaker array built into the panel with I/O and processing built into the back leg-mounting area. I really like the proportion and deceiving aspect ratio when the screen is off, which is important for a TV set that has to stand on its own. Legs are very obviously inspired by various George Nelson products.
